Ilham Febryan Won The Best Group Presentation in Youth Leader International Delegation Chapter 28 at 0 Kilometer Indonesia 2021

A student of the Undergraduate Program of Islamic Economics (UPIEc) Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), Ilham Febryan became the Indonesian delegation in the International Youth Leader (IYL) Chapter 28 at the Zero Point of Kilometer Indonesia which was held for 3 days, starting on June 13-15 2021.

International Youth Leader (IYL) is a leadership training and education platform for Indonesian youth formed by International Youth Leaders engaged in student exchange, leadership camp, halal tour and travel. Youth Leaders themselves are focused on training potential young leaders to be independent and ready to compete in the global arena.

Ilham Febryan said that before he was selected to be a delegate in this International Youth Leader, he prepared a long preparation, starting from the selection process for filing, writing essays and interviewing to determine the 15 best delegates from all Indonesian participants. “After being selected as the 15 best delegates from all Indonesian participants, I and another  participants are departed for Aceh. Arriving in Aceh, the 15 delegates were divided into 3 groups to make paper presentations,” said Ilham Febryan during an interview via WhatsApp.

In this activity, Ilham collaborated with his team of 5 people from different universities, including UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, IAIN Manado, Bandung Social Welfare Polytechnic, and Kebangsaan High School. The paper presentation delivered by Ilham and his team entitled “Bring Aceh to the Land of Petro Dollars” was awarded as The Best Group Presentation in International Youth Leader Chapter 28 at the Zero Point of Kilometers in Indonesia.

“Petro Dollar State is the nickname given for Saudi Arabia with Mecca city as the center of Muslim. The nickname of Aceh itself is Serambi Mekkah (Mecca Verranda). The hope is that by creating good relations between Aceh and Saudi Arabia, it will increase regional foreign exchange and also have a direct impact on the welfare of SME actors in Aceh. Bilateral relations can benefit both parties at the same time. Aceh provides a beautiful tourist experience and Saudi Arabian tourists who help the economy of SMEs around tourism locations,” said Ilham Febryan during an interview via WhatsApp.

Ilham Febryan admitted that he was very grateful for being selected as one of the 15 best delegates and getting the “The Best Group Presentation” award in the International Youth Leader Chapter 28 at the Zero Kilometer Point of Indonesia. For this achievement, Ilham Febryan was given the opportunity to participate in the International Youth Leader program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which will be held in February 2022.
